Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MathXP platform operated by BeeVPN ApS (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using MathXP, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Description of Service
MathXP is an AI-assisted math tutoring platform for schools. Features may include problem sessions, solution submission, AI-assisted grading, progress tracking, and leaderboards. The service is provided “as is” and we make reasonable efforts to maintain availability.
2. User Accounts and Conduct
- Accounts are created by school administrators or teachers
- Users must not share credentials or impersonate others
- Users must not submit inappropriate, offensive, or non-academic content
- BeeVPN ApS may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
3. AI-Assisted Grading
Student-submitted handwritten solutions may be processed by automated AI systems for grading and feedback.
- In some cases, de-identified photos of handwritten solutions may be processed by third-party AI service providers
- Email addresses are not shared with those providers
- Data shared for AI-assisted grading is used only to provide grading and feedback
- Data shared with third-party AI service providers is not used to train third-party AI models
4. Photo License
Users grant BeeVPN ApS a limited license to process photos of handwritten work solely for solution submission, grading, feedback, session history, and academic progress review.
- Photos are transmitted securely to our backend
- In some cases, de-identified photos may be processed by third-party AI service providers for grading or feedback
- Photos are not used for advertising or marketing
- Photos are deleted when the user’s account is deleted or upon request, subject to applicable retention obligations
5. Leaderboards and Visible Data
- Certain in-app profile or progress information may be visible to other students enrolled in the same course
- Performance data such as XP, streak, and level may appear on course leaderboards
- Email addresses are not shown to other students through leaderboards
6. Children and Education
MathXP is used in educational settings where students may be under 13 (US) or under 16 (EU).
- Student accounts are created by schools or teachers, not by students directly
- No direct marketing is sent to students

7. Institutional Relationship
- BeeVPN ApS provides MathXP as a technology service for educational use
- Educational institutions manage student enrollment, course assignment, and curriculum
- BeeVPN ApS is not responsible for educational outcomes or institutional enrollment decisions
8. Account Deletion
Users, or parents/guardians acting on behalf of minors where applicable, may request account deletion by emailing contact@mathxp.app.
- Account data is deleted or anonymized upon request, subject to applicable legal obligations
- Session and problem data may be deleted or anonymized
- Stored solution images may be deleted
- Requests are processed within 30 days
9. Intellectual Property
- The MathXP platform, including its design, code, and content, is owned by BeeVPN ApS
- Users retain ownership of their submitted handwritten solutions
- Users grant BeeVPN ApS the limited rights needed to operate the service as described in these Terms
10. Disclaimers
- MathXP is a supplementary educational tool and not a replacement for professional instruction
- AI-generated feedback may contain errors and should not be the sole basis for academic assessment
- BeeVPN ApS does not guarantee specific educational outcomes
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeeVPN ApS’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the service, if any. BeeVPN ApS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, service interruptions, or reliance on AI-generated feedback, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of MathXP after material changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Users will be notified of material changes where required.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, except where mandatory local law applies.
